Worst Digital Camera of ALL TIME

Posted in Comedy, Technology by Zach on January 17, 2010

This website (WARNING: TERRIBLY DESIGNED) is starting to make the rounds on the internet, with Boing Boing mentioning it just this week. The website chronicles terrible cameras found in thrift and junk stores (I separate the two, since there ARE differences) and this one takes the cake.

Worst Camera of ALL TIMEBehold! The WWF (pre-World Wildlife Fund bitchfest) Slam Cam! The picture of the camera alone doesn’t do this hunk of shit justice. Just click on the image to get the entire in-depth review. I’ve even linked to just that particular frame so you don’t have to deal with the terrible 1999 era frame-designed website. The pictures that come out of this camera are barely recognizable. The software makes them even more comical.

I’m also a fan of the Pokemon 35mm camera, which puts a very tacky Pokemon vignette on every photo without your sayso.

Unfounded Movie Review: Bruno

Posted in Movie Reviews by Zach on July 12, 2009

I had high expectations for Bruno going into the theatre, since I really got a kick out of Sacha Baron Cohen’s last movie, Borat. Bruno didn’t fail to deliver some laughs, showcasing the priceless reactions of unsuspecting people to Bruno’s escapades across America.

However, I felt that many parts of the movie became so extreme to the point of being more disturbing than funny. Some parts made me worry about what we now think of as funny in the world today.

Overall, this film wasn’t nearly as funny as Borat, since the story wasn’t as plausible. Bruno was pretty much the same formula foreign-journalist-hilariously-meanders-through-a-country-he-doesn’t-understand movie that Borat was, only Borat was pulled off much better. 3.75 out of 5.
